Don't you just love the way that sounds? Life starts over? I will be honest, fall isn't my favorite season, sure I love the cooler weather, but that only means that winter is coming and winter is not my favorite at all. I like to be warm, always. But I have decided to embrace the fall weather heading our way and this quote just says it all. A new season this year, a new season in life. 

Last night I realized that I was lacking the sense of adventure this year, that I might have had in years past. I have had a pretty great year don't get me wrong, but I want to do something that scares me. I want to inspire others and inspire myself to be better each day. I used to keep a "bucket list" of the things I wanted to do, and maybe that was what pushed me, but in the everyday hustle and bustle I have found it harder and harder to be led towards my dreams. I have decided to post that list here. Maybe going back to it will help me find my passion in life. I think it is so easy to get into the mind set that this is it. I don't ever want that mindset, I want to be pushed in life, I want to figure out my dreams and follow them, I want to inspire others to follow theirs.

 Own my own actual shop/business.
 Go Skydiving
 Go on a trip with my grandparents
Ride a bull volunteer at a food bank during the holidays
Teach someone something I am good at
Dance in the rain with someone I love
Go to a Braves game
Live in a big city
Live at the beach
Buy a moped/vespa
Pay off my student debt early
Take a sister trip
Schedule one weekend a year with my girlfriends and keep it for at least 10 years straight.
Go to all 3 races of the Triple Crown
Cook an entire meal with things grown in my own garden.
Find a job that I love
Go to the airport and buy a ticket to the first place I think of
Travel somewhere by train
Live in a tiny town
Ride horses in Montana
Take a trip out West
Own a home
Own a horse and show again
go to California
be on television go to GA/FL Football game
read the entire Bible
go on a cruise
This list is by no means complete, but ever-changing, ever evolving. As for right now, I am about to get my day started. Blessed to hear the rain on the roof as I type this. Blessed to be in this spacing sharing my thoughts with you all. ooo, Montana

I want to...

I want to create, I want to inspire, I want to live. I want to be me, figure me out while being the best possible person I can.

It seems to be that my best words come at the weirdest times, last night when in the shower, I thought of the above. I just want to be me, to figure out my passions one day at a time. To understand where my heart lies and which direction the Lord is pointing me in. I want to live each day to its fullest, to make myself more aware of the pain and suffering around me and to do my best to bring a little joy to those that are going through those trials. My heart has been in a funny place lately, one where it seems content and happy with certain areas of my life, but lacks fulfillment in others. I have made it my goal to give more, smile more, and love more. To know that others out there have the same issues

I do, and that I have got it pretty darn good. I am blessed beyond measure. I know that.

When thinking of a particular quote that I love many come to mind, which is why I have a Pinterest board to keep up with most of them. I am quote obsessed, and feel like the right one at the right time can totally change my mood. Words have a way of knowing exactly what to say, they make you feel like you are not alone in your challenges, like at some time, somewhere, somebody felt the exact same way. And that my friends, at least to me, is very comforting.

Now on to the quote that I chose. I have loved this for as long as I can remember. I think I first saw it in high school sometime and at that point in my life it just rang so true. I was at a point where I was trying to figure out my future outside of Bulloch County and where I should go from there. This was a daily reminded to take that scary leap, to do the thing rather than not, funny thing is, it still rings true each day. I don't want to look back and wish that I had done something, I want to live.

introducing the Happy Heart Collection

lately i haven't been able to get hearts out of my head, i'm not sure what that means but i would have to say i could probably guess that i am pretty happy. i am so blessed in my life and feel extremely loved by everyone around me. enter the happy heart collection. i am so inspired by this simple shape that means so much and couldn't everyone use a little pop of color with a heart in their life. check out the new items being added to my shop in the coming weeks. i am ready to get busy busy.

This week marks 4 years since I judged at the AQHA World Show, 4 years since I stood in a tiny curtain walled room and gave my reasons to one other person, 4 years since I spent a week in Oklahoma City learning the ins and outs of the big show world. 4 years ago today was the middle of the best year of my life.
Being on a judging team was the best decision I ever made. I learned to put my thoughts into words, to do so quickly and to memorize my thoughts so that I may tell others the way that I saw things, the way I wanted one horse to stack up against another and my reasons why. I met the best and brightest people, had teammates that I will never forget, coaches that taught me more than they will ever realize, not just about judging but about life. I learned how to speak in a crowd, to a camera, to another individual. I traveled the US, got to speak with industry greats, and see some of the best horses in the world compete. 
None of the things would have been possible if I hadn't decided to take the huge risk of leaving my little town in South Georgia and moving 1300 miles away. In essence it was a quick decision now that I look back on it, one that was the best that I could have ever made. Starting out new in different town where you know absolutely no one is something I would recommend for everyone. You learn about yourself, you learn about who you are and what you want to be. You find your place and you find friends that fit you, ones that aren't just your friends because your parents know their parents. My quick decision to leave Georgia was an easy one, yes there times I was homesick, times I cried, and times I had to make tough decisions all alone. But that was the time I grew up, the time I figured out that this life isn't always easy, but it is beautiful.  EVERY. SINGLE. SECOND.

This post has been all over the place, but what I am trying to say is if there are any chances you are thinking about taking, don't think about it too much.  JUST DO IT. Just put yourself out there.  That one decision could change everything, you will learn about yourself. You will push your boundaries and your mind.

Some days the words are hard to find. Other days they flow freely. Today is the later.  I have been racking my brain about my place in this world, what is my purpose? What kind of job would I love to have? When do things start to add up, and when do I figure it all out? I used to worry endlessly about these things. About trying to figure out what was going to become of my life and who did I really and truly want to be. Truth is, I feel as if I am doing a much better job reining it all in. Learning that good things are happening, just in their own time.
I am consistently reminded that I am on the right path, although it may be a long one, with bumps and pot- holes and even a few broken bridges to cross, but it is MINE. 
I started this blog to help me get my thoughts out of my head, to show me how truly blessed I am, and to eventually figure out my purpose in this life. I never planned on the things that have happened, the great friends I have met, the increased business for my Etsy shop, and the lessons I have learned from reading the stories of others.
Life has had a way of showing me lately that living each and everyday to its fullest is the best way to succeed.  Doing what makes you happy as a person is the best way to be a great influence to those around you. People love happy. People respond to happy. And in order to be happy you must surround yourself and immerse yourself in the things that cause that happiness. Whether it be your job, your relationships, or your hobbies, choose what makes you happy. DO HAPPY.

If you haven't figure out already, I am pretty much obsessed with inspirational quotes. I feel there is such meaning in certain words, and I am always finding ones that seem to hit home with so many places in my heart. This is a pretty long one that is sitting beside my desk. You can seriously tell my aesthetic from my array of pins. I LOVE mixed fabrics, patterns, and colors.
I love a bright POP of color and can not get enough of different textures. I like homes that look lived in yet not messy, ones that are a mix of vintage and modern. Hand-painted signs with different inspiration everywhere you look. My plan until I can afford more is to make do with what I have and only buy items that I truly LOVE.
